KAS students concluded their final year with an unforgettable 3-day trip to Taitung, Taiwan. The itinerary combined thrilling surf lessons, eco-friendly crafts, and meaningful community service. Students relaxed in serene Dulan glamping sites, fostering a deep connection with nature and local culture.
Brentwood College Cultural Tour School Trip – 2024
A group of intrepid Brentwood College students embarked on a ten-day cultural immersion in Taipei, Taiwan. This captivating journey allowed them to explore the island’s rich history, vibrant traditions, and diverse culture. From visiting ancient temples to savoring delicious local cuisine, these young explorers gained invaluable insights into Taiwanese life.
TES German School Trip
In November, students from Taipei European School’s German Section embarked on an unforgettable week of camping and outdoor adventure in Taiwan. The trip included high-wire challenges, nature education at Guandu Bird Park, and hands-on environmental activities like invasive species removal. Students also developed teamwork and leadership skills during the Civilisation Game, building shelters and learning survival techniques. A nature hike along Taiwan’s scenic east coast rounded off the week. This experiential school trip not only boosted confidence and life skills but also encouraged a deeper connection with nature and the environment.
Hainan Island
Imagine and Recognize Academy joined forces for an unforgettable week on Hainan Island, China’s tropical paradise. With students aged 5-15, this adventure blended fun, learning, and environmental awareness. Activities included surfing, beach parkour, SUP, coconut tree climbing, survival training, and team-building games, all set against a backdrop of sandy beaches and lush vegetation.
Campers caught their first waves, built swings, and cycled through Hainan’s stunning scenery. The trip culminated with a yacht voyage to a remote island for a survival challenge and an inspiring environmental cleanup. Despite unexpected rain, the children left with lasting memories, new skills, and a shared commitment to protecting our planet.
European school Civilisation Game
Students from the German section of Taipei European School had a fantastic spring day in Yangmingshan playing the Civilisation Game. Divided into two groups with different resources, they worked creatively to build shelters, tables, hammocks, and even entrances, using skills taught by their coaches.
The day ended with each group presenting their “civilisation,” sharing ideas, and discussing strategies for trade and organisation. This fun and innovative forest adventure encouraged teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, leaving everyone inspired by what they had built together.
An intrepid adventure with Recognize
Recognize is an international school based in Shenzhen with a refreshingly inspired approach to education. Recognize students are encouraged to push their boundaries and feel confident exploring the world. As a result, at an early age each student develops a taste for adventure! An intrepid group of 20 joined Imagine for a once in a lifetime adventure in Taiwan. On this week long trip students got to ride a mini lumber train and cable car, explore waterfalls and historic towns, they also went river tracing, kayaking, camping and played Imagine’s Civilisation game… One of the highlight’s of the trip included a unique introduction to Taiwan’s Aboriginal culture where they were given a talk from some members of the Atayl tribe. Taiwan has so much to share with the world in terms of raw geography and rich culture. We believe it is an incredible place for young minds to experience the great outdoors and it’s our pleasure to facilitate these kind of exciting childhood experiences.
Woodland survival experience inspired by the book ‘Island of the blue dolphins’
magine brought the classroom to life with a school trip that taught survival skills inspired by Island of the Blue Dolphins. Students learned to build shelters, start fires, and forage, connecting hands-on activities with themes from the book. This immersive experience deepened their understanding of resilience and self-reliance while fostering teamwork and a love for the outdoors. A perfect blend of education and adventure!
